Does Bruce sell gator meat?

No Bruce doesn't sell gator meat - he does have a few different gator products for sale in his online store!

Is Bruce going to be on Swamp People next season?

“You have to watch and find out” We are always excited about upcoming seasons!

I want to hunt with you – can I work on your boat - will you hire me?

Bruce doesn’t book any type of guided gator hunts or boat tours. With filming on the boat, The History Channel has specific cast members riding with him.  He cannot allow anyone else to ride with me. I usually hunt alone - if I need help - I grab a family member for some help.

I want to gator hunt too!!!

In LA you must contact LA Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries. Check out their website, it has all the information you need on procedures and contacts. LA is very restricted and has rules on gator hunting! Penalties can be huge!

Is it illegal to hunt gators at night?

It is in Louisiana - always check your states hunting laws!

When will Bruce be in my city, I would love to meet him?

You can always check out Bruce's calendar to see where his next event will be......

I want to stop and visit Bruce's Gift Shop or take a boat tour - how do I do this?

Unfortunately, our Gatorman Gift Shop is no longer open to the public, all items are still sold online.  We also had to stop booking boat tours.  Bruce is out of town so much, we can't nail down dates for booking!  So sorry!

I'm going to be in Bruce's area soon – can we meet up or have dinner?

We get this question daily – and if it were up to Bruce he would have everyone fed and sitting on his front porch. Unfortunately, for his security we have to let folks know that he doesn't meet up with folks outside of scheduled events like booked meet and greets, etc. We appreciate every single one of you!

Are all of the hunters on the show friends in real life and do you support each other in your hunting efforts?

All of the shows gator hunters mostly know each other from the show only.  I knew the Landry family before the show, but not many others.  We do our best to help each other, although we do not live very close to each other!

Can you give some family history , like how many generations have lived there in Louisiana, and is everyone still living in the area?

My Mitchell side moved here to Ponchatoula in the very early 1900's, my grandfather John Q Mitchell was a farmer, mostly strawberries.  Ponchatoula was known for its strawberry farming and now holds the largest festival in LA - The Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival!

My Hebert side is also from the Ponchatoula area and they've resided in this area for a long time.

Do you plan on rebuilding the camp? Or have you already?

We purchased land on our local river/pass years ago with the intentions of building a camp or set of camps - but we just stay so busy!  It's still a dream of ours!  Kris and Lorraine have built a camp on one of our river properties!

What's the size & weight of the biggest gator you've caught?

Not too sure - maybe around 13 feet (that's just the ones I've measured)  We didn't really worry about measuring until Swamp People started asking us to.

Have you ever been bitten by a gator?

Why yes I have - many times!  The worst was in the early 1980's - I was giving a tour and feeding our large gators - one grabbed my hand instead of the food.  It was pretty scary - lucky to have made it out with around 100 stitches in my hand - didn't ever let that happen again!

Will the grandchildren be following in paw paw's footsteps one day? And would Kris ever consider gator hunting? Or does he...

Big Kris does help me hunt if I need it- Little Kris is definitely headed in the direction of being a fisherman/hunter!

When you're not hunting gators what else do you do?

I like to cook, go camping, kayak, fish, spend time with family and friends, I have to work on and maintain my property.  I also travel and attend meet and greets.  I don't really get much spare time - but if you watch my videos on facebook you pretty much see it.

Are you friends with people on other reality shows? Such as Shelby Stanga"Ax Men"?

No not really, just folks I've met through the years being on TV.  Me and Shelby have known each other a long time before reality tv - we only live 5 miles apart

Do you sell gator teeth?

I have gator teeth necklaces for sale - not teeth by themselves - I also sell a few other gator products in my online store.  Everything I sell is available online.

How did you get started hunting alligators?

I started hunting gators when I was a small boy with my grandfather.  Just so happened my father-in-law had a gator farm!

How does your wife feel about you hunting gators? Does she ever go with you?

Miss Janet never knew any different - her father was a gator hunter who started his own gator farm in the mid 1950’s!  Yes if I need her to, she will go with me.

I live in Ohio and ate gator yesterday but had a hard time finding a Recipe on how to cook gator . Maybe you can post your favorite ways on how to cook gator, Recipes and what you like to eat along with the gator:)

Keep up with my Facebook page and we cook lots of fun southern dishes!

A few seasons ago you used to hunt your own. I see many others struggling to make a shot when someone else is wrangling the gator...how did you do it on your own and still manage to tag out?

I've always hunted gators by myself - if I needed any help I would get my family to help out here and there - just always done it - its tough - but I didn't know any different.
